Chinese tech brand Xiaomi could disrupt the industry with a revolutionary battery of capacity, which could range between 8500 and 9000mAh. Reportedly, the company is testing the milestone capacity battery on an upcoming Redmi phone.

The eye-popping news recently emerged via Digital Chat Station. It mentioned that Xiaomi has already tested the said device internally, and also the battery. But the battery size might also raise questions about battery life. The report states that Xiaomi tested the battery to ensure its charging cycle is uncompromised.

Redmi phone will come with a 9000mAh battery

A Xiaomi Redmi phone will carry a possible 9000mAh battery, but as to which one, is a mystery so far. And it’s said that the battery will use an upgraded version of the silicon-carbon composite. It means the battery will be big but won’t increase the thickness of the phone.

But the battery size itself shouldn’t be a major surprise either. Earlier, the Redmi Turbo 4 Pro came with a 7550mAh cell. So, innovation is an infinite and consistent process among the popular Chinese smartphone brands. This jumbo battery phone might launch later in 2025 or in early 2026.
