Week roundup for smartphones in Nepal (with price)

As the smartphone market has grown up significantly recently with stiff competition among the phone company available here, new and latest smartphones are getting released here in Nepal every week.  The smartphones ranges from highest quality flagships to Chinese mid rangers to even local Nepali low end ones. Some of them launch it with a big event with the loud performance of local singers and presence of popular actors, lets take Huawei for instance for their latest P9 launch whereas some launch it without much hype and advertise in small scale online. Others may come unnoticed too. Here are some of the major news in the Nepali smartphone market this week, along with the available price, speculated price and major specifications.

Huawei P9 available in Nepali market:
Huawei Nepal has launched their flagship phone P9 ahead of India, in a big launch event at City centre, Kamalpokhari. They have launched the gold variant of 3GB RAM and 32 GB memory phone, which is priced at Rs 60,000. The most remarkable feature in the phone is the rear dual camera setup, one camera dedicated for monochrome. One of the feature in the camera lets you refocus the already taken photo to have a nice shallow depth of field, allowing bokeh and nice blurry blackground. Oneplus 3 available online:
iHub pvt ltd has launched the latest flagship killer: Oneplus 3 in Nepal at a price tag of Rs 49,900. The 6 GB RAM phone runs on Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 Processor and the screen size is 5.5 inch Super Amoled screen. The phone can be bought from Oliz store online. Mi Max to be available in Nepal.
Xiaomi Nepal has already made available a bunch of Xiaomi phones like Mi4, Redmi 2, Redmi Note 2, Redmi Note 3, Redmi 3, Mi5 and some accessories like Mi band, Mi battery bank, Mi speaker, within a very short period time. It seems like they are going to add one more device to the range. It is none other than Mi MAX, the massive 6.4 inch phone powered by Snapdragon 650. The authorized distributor of Xiaomi phones in Nepal, Vatsal Impex Pvt. Ltd will be making the phone available from coming week and the price is known to be Rs 35,000 for 3GB RAM and 32 GB memory space. Other features include Fingerprint sensor, 4850 mAh non removable battery, 16 MP/ 5MP camera.

Gionee F103 pro available in Nepal
Gionee Nepal has made new version of F103 available in Nepali market, which is also called aas Gionee F103 pro. The 5 inch 720 p IPS display phone is powered by 1.3 GHz quad core processor and comes with 3GB RAM, 16 GB internal memory. There is 13 MP/ 5 MP camera, and 2400 mAh battery. The dual SIM phone runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. The phone is priced at Rs 18,999.

Gionee F103 pro Nepal

CG Eon blaze gold in Nepal
CG mobile has launched EON Blaze gold in Nepali market. The phone has a 5 inch display with up to 3G network support and is powered by 1.3 GHz quadcore processor, 1 GB RAM and 16 GB memory. The phone consists of 13 MP/ 5 Mp rear and front cameras and runs on Android 6.0. The phone is priced at Rs 8,888.

Redmi Pro, Mi Notebook Air and VR headset.

While Nepalese are about to grab Mi Max, Xiaomi has launched its first dual camera phone and its first Laptop in China. The smartphone having the 12 MP dual camera setup is the flagship of its cheap Redmi phone series, called Redmi Pro. The Redmi Pro is a 5.5 inch Full HD OLED display, powered by a deca core Helio X20 processor. THe 3 GB RAM and 32 GB storage phone costs 1500 RMB (equals to $225) that is around Rs 23,000 in Nepali (but the price will obviously be higher than that). The dual camera setup lets you make a shallow depth of field photos after capturing and refocusing. The battery size is 4,050 mAH, along with the support for fast charging from Type C port.

Redmi pro Nepal

Xiaomi has also launched their first laptop called Mi Notebook Air, which runs on Windows 10. There are two variants of the laptop with 13.3 inch and 12.5 inch size. The two variants has 4 GB and 8 GB RAM respectively and contains USB type C charger. The price of both the variant is 520 USD and 750 USD. Both of them comes in silver and gold color. It is also known Xiaomi will be launching a mysterious VR headset on August 1. More details about the VR headset when it gets released.
