NT upgrades GSM network in Lalitpur.

July 30, 2013: Nepal Telecom- the leading telecom operator in Nepal, has upgraded its GSM network in Lalitpur. According to them, new network has better voice quality and fast internet with 3G, as posted before, for the swapping of GSM network in Kathmandu. NT has previously notified its customers about the upgrade and even cautioned them to be patient during the outage which is minimized to the max. Earlier they had upgraded GSM network in Kirtipur which got overwhelmingly good response from the customers, mainly for the fast internet service from 3G.

It is known that the network upgrade went as per the plan for the 3 days in Lalitpur and will take some more days for the RF optimization work to result much better network. They have even put a hotline 1498 for receiving customer problems.

Now that upgrade is complete in Lalitpur, they told the network upgrade or swap will be done towards Kathmandu for which the schedule will be published as a notice later.
