Extension of Warranty Period from Phone companies for lockdown

COVID-19 pandemic has not affected our country that much as compared to other countries. But we all are locked up in our homes, glued with the gadgets for almost three weeks. As it takes time to screen all those people from abroad and the possible contacts, the government has lengthened the lockdown for one more week. The reason for the lockdown is to diminish the spread of the virus.

With the lockdown in place, Tech companies (Samsung, Xiaomi, Vivo, Oppo, Nokia) in Nepal have come up with the extension of the warranty period of their Gadgets including phones. The products whose warranty period would end in March-April are now prolonged. Here is the list of some Smartphone brands that have extended the warranty period for lockdown.

Samsung

We all are well known to the fact that Samsung has devoted its human resources and technology to manufacture the best products. Looking at the critical situation, the brand has stretched the warranty period of its product ending between March 24th, 2020 to April 20th, 2020 till May 20th, 2020. To provide further assistance, the company has also given a toll-free number. For NTC users, you need to contact 166001-72667. Whereas for Ncell you can dial the number 9801572667. Xiaomi

Xiaomi is also one of the leading companies accompanying its users with the best quality gadgets over a long time. During this time, the services of the company are closed but the company is working hard to make the life of its user easier. If you have any issues regarding the phones and warranty then you can text them at +977-9843281581 with information as per the format below.

Vivo

Vivo, the Chinese smartphone maker has also prolonged the warranty of its smartphones. The company announces that it has extended the warranty period of the smartphones purchased in Nepal ending on March 22nd, 2020. The General Manager of Vivo Nepal MR. Mars exclaimed,

“In these crucial times, we stand firm to our commitment and this warranty extension is provided to facilitate our valued customers amid the COVID-19 outbreak.”

The offer remains unchanged until further notice and Vivo customers can reach out via official social media. They have even suspended the launching of new products now.

Like Samsung, Vivo has provided contact details to help its customers.

Nokia

Similarly, considering the situation, Nokia has extended the warranty period by +45 days if the due date was March 15 to April 15.

This news is announced by TeleTalk Pvt. Ltd who is the official distributor of Nokia phones in Nepal. They apply the warranties on both feature phones and smartphones that were due to expire on that period. Teletalk also offers 365 days replacement guarantee for Nokia phones including Nokia C1.

Oppo

Like other companies, Oppo has also worked to make the life of its user comfortable during this lockdown phase. They now shift the warranty period till 22nd March to April 21st to May 22nd.  Find the price of all Oppo phones in Nepal.
