NTC (Nepal Telecom) has made its customers aware of possible fraud ISD calls, missed calls, balance deduction, automated responses, etc. through a formal statement.

NTC has released a statement over the issue of customers witnessing missed calls, automatic balance deduction, and automated responses from the caller on their phones. In addition, NTC users have noticed instances of auto-dialing from their numbers, its absence on call logs, and balance deduction of successful calls.

The aforementioned issues have been reported on occasions and are detrimental to the customers’ end. This is why NTC has formally related to its customers about these fraud calls and requested them to stay alert and avoid falling victims.

Fraud Calls on NTC Due To Apps!

NTC speculates that such false calls may be occurring due to any apps on customers’ smartphones or suspicious sites. The company has thus asked its customers to uninstall any app they find dubious and stop accessing fraudulent sites.

NTC has also made it clear that its telecom equipment is not to blame for unauthorized calls. But to avert such faults on their telecom network, the company has already begun its investigation into the issue.

Besides, NTC has requested its customers to utilize Locking Code to avoid any unauthorized calls from their devices. With locking code, users can utilize ISD service to make calls and disable it while not necessary. Locking Code service adds native security and protection to NTC users.
