Nepal Telecom NITV partnership for digital marketing

The state-backed communication company Nepal Telecom (NTC) has reached an agreement with NITV Nepal Ltd. for digital marketing services. With this move, the company seeks to extend its reach to the customers and improve the delivery of quality services. The collaboration seeks to enhance the company’s market management.

The agreement between Ntc and NITV Nepal was struck on Thursday (Poush 19, 2080). The agreement papers were signed by Sangita Pahadi (Aryal), Ntc Managing Director, and Rajendra Prasad Paudel, Executive Director, NITV Nepal.

The cooperation will help Ntc promote its services effectively within the customers’ reach. NITV Nepal will play a pivotal part in digital marketing for Ntc’s portfolio of services. As a communication service provider, Ntc provides NT Fiber internet service, mobile service (2G, 3G, 4G), Namaste WiFi, and PSTN landline phone line services among others.

Through this joint collaboration, the two entities will use various types of social media and online platforms to interact with the customers and work on providing high-quality services.

Nepal Telecom to leverage digital marketing to promote its services

Nepal Telecom says that it expects the new digital marketing team to bring significant outcomes in bringing discussions of its services before the public and providing better customer services. The partnership will, likewise, enable the company to interact with its customers via social media and other digital platforms.

Ntc like any other company, connects with its customers via social media. However, the competition is high, and it may have felt the need to further strengthen its appeal to the customers with creative content and promotions. Joining hands with a third-party company will help curate its service promotion and help entice new customers to its services.

The company has also come under intense pressure to eliminate fake news and misinformation, especially regarding fake ads. Ntc reiterated that it doesn’t announce vacancies on social media and asked users to stay weary. By penning a digital market deal with NITV Nepal, the former can better communicate its large range of services among the customers and earn mass appeal for its services.

Being a technophile, I am particularly fascinated by the evolution of mobile networks in Nepal from legacy networks (2G, 3G) to 4G (with VoLTE, VoWiFi, eSIM) and the prospects of the upcoming 5G, and equally enthralled by the development of internet from the dial-up connection to the 2 Gbps XGS-PON fiber broadband technology and their transformative impact in the country.
