The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) has completed the bidding and procurement process for the media and ticketing rights of the third edition of the Nepal Premier League (NPL).

According to CAN, NetTV Pvt. Ltd., Himalaya Television Network Pvt. Ltd. and eSewa Ltd. have secured the rights for streaming, television broadcasting and ticketing, respectively.

It’s expected that the third edition of the popular franchise cricket competition gets wider coverage in 2026 with the combination of worldwide OTT streaming and television broadcasting in Nepal.

NetTV gets worldwide OTT rights for NPL 2026

NetTV Pvt. Ltd. has secured the OTT rights for the third edition of the Nepal Premier League (NPL) 2026. The company secured the rights with a bid of Rs 18.04 crore (Rs 180.4 million).

Therefore, all the NPL 2026 matches will have an official OTT streaming partner with coverage extending beyond Nepal, potentially making the tournament accessible to viewers in international markets as well.

Himalaya Television gets Nepal TV rights for NPL 2026

Likewise, Himalaya Television Network Pvt. Ltd. has secured the linear television broadcasting rights for Nepal for NPL 2026. The company won the rights with a bid of Rs 14.64 crore (Rs 146.4 million). That means Himalaya Television is the television broadcaster for NPL matches in Nepal under the rights awarded by CAN.

eSewa wins NPL ticketing rights for NPL 2026

Leading digital wallet eSewa has secured the rights as a ticketing partner for the NPL 2026 tournament. As part of the deal, eSewa has agreed to pay Rs 85 lakh for the ticketing rights, along with the agreed commercial terms.

Under the revenue-sharing arrangement, 95% of the revenue generated from ticket sales will go to CAN, while eSewa receives 5%.

The partnership makes NPL ticket purchases easier through eSewa’s digital platform.

The OTT and television rights alone have generated NPL 2026 a combined value of Rs 32.68 crore. Including the ticketing rights fee, the three agreements amount to a total value of Rs 33.53 crore.
