Ntc and Nepal Bank Agree to Provide Free Data on App

Nepal Telecom (Ntc) and Nepal Bank Limited (NBL) have reached an agreement through which the bank’s customers can use the bank’s app for free (without data charge). The deal is expected to help bank customers avail of its mobile banking services more conveniently on the go. The offer is valid for a limited period only.

The scheme will benefit those who have a bank account at Nepal Rastra Bank and subscribes to Ntc mobile services.

Both the government companies reached the agreement at a signing ceremony held at Ntc’s central office in Kathmandu. Ntc’s Chief Commercial Officer Sangita Pahadi and the Chief Finance Officer of Nepal Bank Limited, Hom Bahadur Khadka, signed the agreement paper.

After this agreement, Nepal Bank customers won’t see their balance deduction for using the bank’s smart banking app.

Who are qualified to access the benefits?

This offer will be valid under specific conditions. First, you must have opened an account at the Nepal Bank. Second, you also need to use an Ntc SIM card.

In addition, the free data charge free offer is available on the mobile banking app of the bank. Your Ntc number must be in use for registration to get the benefit.

Once you register to the banking app of NBL with an Ntc number, you won’t require internet or mobile data to launch and use the app.

Nepal Bank Limited is the first commercial bank of Nepal service since 1994 BS. Currently, the bank has spread across Nepal serving 213 branches, 179 ATMs, and 49 extension counters. It is shifting its services digitally to serve via mobile banking.

Ntc is Nepal’s largest telecom operator in terms of subscribers with over 1.98 crore subscribers on its mobile broadband services. The operator has also celebrated reaching 1 crore 4G users recently.
