Vianet CEO Sewa Pathak Leadership Female of the Year Award 2022

Ms. Sewa Pathak Bohora, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Vianet Communication has been presented with the Leadership Female of the Year Award 2022 at the HRM awards for corporate excellence in Kathmandu. She earned recognition for her remarkable leadership skills and contribution to Nepal’s technology industry.

Ms. Pathak is one of the first women to hold a leadership position in the industry. Still, in the technology field, it is noticeable that the top-level management consists of males. However, Ms. Pathak serves as one of those rarities leading by example.

She has served at Vianet for a decade now. First, she joined the company as the Director of Finance and Operations back in 2012. Later in 2018, she got the promotion and started serving as the company’s CEO.

Vianet has witnessed significant growth since her appointment as its CEO, the company says.

With the exception of high-speed internet and IPTV services, the company has been rapidly upgrading and expanding its services throughout the country. Check out: Vianet Internet Packages, FUP, Offer, and Price in Nepal

The prestigious HRM Awards for Corporate Excellence is an annual award dedicated to excellence in the corporate sector.

About Vianet

Vianet is a leading internet service provider in Nepal with crucial ‘firsts’ to its name. It was the first company to introduce fiber internet in Nepal. It also brought the IPTV service ‘ViaTV’ to the country for the first time.

Vianet

For its remarkably high-speed internet digital TV services, Vianet has become a household name with one of the largest bases in the industry. As per the regulator Nta’s latest data, Vianet has unique subscriptions of 2 lakhs, 40 thousand, and 729 customers.

Being a technophile, I am particularly fascinated by the evolution of mobile networks in Nepal from legacy networks (2G, 3G) to 4G (with VoLTE, VoWiFi, eSIM) and the prospects of the upcoming 5G, and equally enthralled by the development of internet from the dial-up connection to the 2 Gbps XGS-PON fiber broadband technology and their transformative impact in the country.
