Nothing Phone 3a Pro and 3a launched in Nepal

CG Mobile has launched Nothing Phone 3a Pro and 3a phones in Nepal, on the very day of its global launch. These phones come with Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chipset, 6.77-inch AMOLED display, iconic glyph interface, and other noticeable features. Both of these are upper-midrange smartphones and will compete in the upper-budget segment. Let’s explore features, specifications, and price of Nothing Phone 3a Pro and Phone 3a in Nepal.

Nothing Phone 3a Pro and 3a Overview

Design and Display

Both Nothing Phone 3a Pro and 3a phones come in similar design. They have rounded corners for better grip and carry thin bezels. In terms of dimensions, both these measure 163.5 x 77.5 x 8.4 mm. But while Phone 3a Pro weighs 211 grams, Phone 3a weighs slightly lighter at 201 grams. Both of these phones are IP64-certified for protection against water and dust. Uniquely, Nothing has now included an Essential key button on the side of the phone. You can press it to capture the screen. Long pressing it will record videos, ideas, etc.

The major difference is in the camera placements on the back. Phone 3a Pro has a more futuristic camera module with its cameras circling its main wide camera. On the other hand, the cameras on the Phone 3a are vertically aligned. And let’s not forget. They both come with intuitive 3 LED strips on their iconic Glyph interface. These LED serve for notifications, and other purposes.

Nothing Phone 3a Series feature 6.77-inch AMOLED display and comes with 120 Hz refresh rate. Another talking point of the phone is that both phones’ screen reaches peak brightness of 3,000 nits. Likewise, the screens feature 1080 x 2392 pixels resolution with 387 ppi density which means super sharp visuals on their screens. For protection, Nothing has used a layer of Panda Glass on both these phones.

Performance and Storage

Both Nothing Phone 3a Pro and Phone 3a perform on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7s Gen 3. It’s a 4nm build silicon with eight cores. In terms of speed, the chipset has 1 prime core at 2.5 GHz, 3 performance cores at 2.4 GHz, and 4 efficiency cores at 1.8 GHz. The 1+3+4 processing system keeps the phone smooth and operational. You can use many apps at once and also play games without facing heat. The chipset pairs with Adreno 710 which provides punch for immersive gameplay and multi-tasking.

Nothing Phone 3a Pro comes in Nepal with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. The Nothing Phone 3a ships with 8 and 12 GB of RAM and 128  and 256 GB of storage.

Camera

Nothing Phone 3a Series’ unique selling point is their camera system. They boast a 50 MP primary main camera on the back with optical image stabilization (OIS) and autofocus for most of the photography. Additionally, there’s also an 8 MP ultrawide camera to take wider shots.

But the major difference between their optics is that the Phone 3a Pro has a 50 PM periscope camera with 3x optical zoom while the 3a model has a standard telephoto unit with 2x optical zoom. The other key difference is that the Pro version has a 50 MP selfie camera while the vanilla model has a 32 MP shooter on the front.

The phones support 4K video shoot with AI-powered stability enhancements in different light conditions.

Battery and Charging

Both phones house 5,000mAh battery with 50W wired fast-charging. Nothing claims that the phone charges 50% in 19 minutes and 100% in 56 minutes.

Software and Additional Features

Both phones run on Nothing OS 3.1 which is a custom software based on Android 15. Nothing says that the phones will get up to 3 major Android OS upgrades down the years. These phones come with under-display fingerprint sensor, Circle to Search and other AI services. Both connect to up to 5G, WiFi 6, and Bluetooth 5.4. There’s no 3.5mm headphone jack on these phones so you can instead use Nothing’s own earbuds. Nothing Phone 3a Pro does support eSIM too.

Nothing Phone 3a Pro price in Nepal is Rs 62,999 with 12/256 GB specifications. Likewise, Nothing Phone 3a price in Nepal is Rs 48,999 for 8/128 GB and Rs 55,999 for the 12/256 GB models. Nothing has announced pre-booking on both of these phones. Phone 3a Pro pre-booking starts on March 18 to 24 and delivery will be on March 25. Our Verdict

Nothing Phone 3a Series is a hot prospect from the UK-based brand. They have arrived with lots of interest and hype. And it seems the camera system on these phones are justifying the public interest in them. But the phones are also to be talked about for their intuitive design and the signature Glyph interface.

In addition, the phone also come with large AMOLED display and powerful SD 7s Gen 3 processor. So, these phones offer a very trendy and satisfying package for a higher smartphone experience. In terms of comparison, they would compete with other upper midrange phones such as OnePlus 13R and Redmi Note 14 Pro Plus 5G. It also competes well with phones under Rs 1 lakh.
