Redmi Note 15 Pro Plus 5G Overview
Design and Display
Redmi Note 15 Pro Plus 5G comes with aluminum frames and a glass back and front. On the back, the camera island looks somewhat similar to its predecessor, Redmi Note 14 Pro Plus 5G, but it’s now placed slightly upwards in the middle. The back has an ultra-tough fiberglass back panel for exceptional rigidity and durability. And there’s a REDMI text etched on the bottom. It’s got rounded corners, which helps for a good grip.

The phone packs a 6.83-inch OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 3200 nits of peak brightness. The screen gets protection from Xiaomi’s proprietary Dragon Crystal Glass layer. The phone boasts an IP66+IP68+IP69+IP69K water and dust protection. It’s highly protected from water jets and high temperatures.

Camera and Photography
The Redmi Note 15 Pro Plus 5G carries a triple-camera setup. It’s headed by a 50 MP Light Fusion 800 main sensor with OIS support and a sensor size of 1/1.55-inch. Further, it’s got an 8 MP ultrawide camera and a 50 MP portrait telephoto unit with 2.5x zoom. The back camera can record 4K videos with ease. Though the 200 MP figure has come down, it’s also credible as photography is more computational than mere high MP numbers.

The front features a 32 MP selfie camera with 1080p video recording capacity. The cameras on this phone are powered by AI, which helps you get better daytime photos as well as those shot in low-light conditions.
Performance and Storage
The Redmi Note 15 Pro Plus 5G is the first smartphone to run on the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chipset. It comes with an octa-core processor in a 1+3+4 architecture. Likewise, it promises 7% improvement in CPU and GPU. Gamers get a more immersive gaming experience, and so will be multitasking on it. The phone comes with 8/12/16 GB of RAM and 128/256/512 GB of storage. With these resources, the phone closes the gaps with flagship phones in smoothness of performance.

A satellite-supported edition comes with an exclusive configuration of 16/512 GB. In terms of software, the phone boots on Xiaomi HyperOS 2, which is based on Android 15. The phone also has an “ice-sealed circulating cooling pump” with a 5200mm2 vapor chamber with extra graphite layers to keep the device cool even under stress.
Battery and Charging
The phone features a 7,000mAh battery, which pretty much makes it a 2-day smartphone. Plus, it comes with 90W fast-charging capacity, which fully charges the phone within minutes. It also supports 22.5W reverse charging, which is not bad.
Connectivity and Other Features
The phone supports WiFi 6, VoLTE, and 5G SA and NSA. It also comes with NFC, GPS, and other standard Android sensors. For security, it’s got an in-display fingerprint sensor. The phone also comes with a Beidou Satellite Messaging variant, which allows users to send a text message from areas with no mobile coverage.

Redmi Note 15 Pro Plus 5G Nepal launch and initial verdict

The Redmi Note 15 Pro Plus 5G is a remarkable phone in its own right. And in this latest iteration, it comes with bigger RAM and a battery. By the way, it also comes with the latest SN 7s Gen 4chipset, so it’s a valuable evolution in the lineup from Redmi.
