Redmi Note 15 Pro Plus 5G is set to be launched in August 2025 in China. The phone will be part of the new-generation Redmi Note 15 Series and a direct successor to the Redmi Note 14 Pro Plus 5G from 2024. So far, we have only some rumors and suggestions, and some official confirmation about the phone, which hints at improved display, battery, and connectivity. Here, we have more on this upcoming iconic phone.
Redmi Note 15 Pro Plus 5G Rumors
The Redmi Note 15 Pro+ 5G is rumored to have a 1.5K quad-curved display, which we saw in the RN 14 Pro Plus 5G too. But the phone may get a higher resolution this time. And let’s not rule out 144Hz refresh rate as another possibility. The camera module will be placed in the center of the top of the panel.
In terms of water and dust protection, the phone shall feature an IP69K certification. The front glass and back panel will get a protective layer of Xiaomi’s popular Dragon Crystal Glass.

In optics, the phone will carry a three-camera setup on the back, headed by a 50 MP main wide sensor with OIS. The back camera configuration houses three cameras with an LED flash. We expect more AI features embedded in the camera software to produce better photography.

A bigger battery
There are suggestions that the phone will carry a 7,000mAh battery, which will be a significant improvement from the 5,110mAh cell in the predecessor.
Satellite connectivity on a Redmi phone for the first time
A leak has claimed that the Redmi Note 15 Pro Plus 5G will be the first Redmi smartphone to support satellite connectivity for short messaging. This is yet to get more weight, but it’s also possible, as it gives more weight to its marketing as an upper midrange phone with a flagship experience. Some flagship phones already come with satellite communication, so Redmi may want to take that leap as well.

And there are strong suggestions that the Redmi Note 15 Pro Plus 5G will run on the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chipset. It is the same processor as on the predecessor. So, that might not sit well with users. However, there’s no confirmation yet on this front, as on others.
Redmi Note 15 Pro Plus 5G launch date, price in Nepal (Expected)
The Redmi Note 15 Pro Plus 5G will launch in China on August 21 at 7 pm (4:45 PM Nepali time), the company has announced in its Weibo post. The phone will then launch globally, including in Nepal, perhaps by January 2026.
We don’t expect the phone to cost much than the predecessor. So, our guess is that its 8/256 GB variant will cost around Rs 50,000 and the 12/512 GB at around Rs 55,999.
Redmi Note 15 Pro Plus 5G | Price in Nepal (Expected) |
8/256 GB | Rs 50,999 |
12/512 GB | Rs 55,999 |
So far, we are only riding on our expectations of the rumors. But by the end of August 2025, we will have the official launch of the phone, and that will give us the true details on this phone and its likely price range for Nepal. Anyway, there are likely to be some improvements. But our concern is whether the company will continue with the same chipset or a newer one.
