Redmi Note 15 Pro Plus 5G Overview

Design and Display

Redmi Note 15 Pro Plus 5G comes with aluminum frames and a glass back and front. On the back, the camera island looks somewhat similar to its predecessor, Redmi Note 14 Pro Plus 5G, but it’s now placed slightly upwards in the middle. The back has an ultra-tough fiberglass back panel for exceptional rigidity and durability. And there’s a REDMI text etched at the bottom. It’s got rounded corners, which helps for a good grip.

The phone packs a quad-curved 6.83-inch OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 3200 nits of peak brightness. The screen gets protection from Xiaomi’s proprietary Dragon Crystal Glass layer. The phone boasts an IP66+IP68+IP69+IP69K water and dust protection. It’s highly protected from water jets and high temperatures.

Camera and Photography

The Redmi Note 15 Pro Plus 5G carries a 200 MP main camera (HPE sensor), 8 MP ultrawide camera, and a 2 MP macro camera. The camera supports 2X and 4X optical-level in-sensor zoom and OIS. The front facing camea is a 32 MP sensor, which is useful for video chats and selfies. The cameras on this phone are powered by AI, which helps you get better daytime photos as well as those shot in low-light conditions.

Performance and Storage

The Redmi Note 15 Pro Plus 5G is the first smartphone to run on the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chipset. It comes with an octa-core processor in a 1+3+4 architecture. Likewise, it promises 7% improvement in CPU and GPU. Gamers get a more immersive gaming experience, and so will be multitasking on it. The phone comes with 8/12 GB of RAM and 256/512 GB of storage. With these resources, the phone closes the gaps with flagship phones in terms of smoothness of performance.

A satellite-supported edition comes with an exclusive configuration of 16/512 GB. In terms of software, the phone boots on Xiaomi HyperOS 2, which is based on Android 15. The phone also has an “ice-sealed circulating cooling pump” with a 5200mm2 vapor chamber with extra graphite layers to keep the device cool even under stress. But that’s not launching in Nepal.

Battery and Charging

The phone packs a 6500mAh battery, a bit short of the 7000mAh one in the Chinese variant, but it’s still a 2-day smartphone. Plus, it comes with 100W wired fast-charging capacity, which fully charges the phone within minutes. It also supports 22.5W reverse charging, which is not bad.
