Nepal Telecom (NTC)’s role goes beyond mere telecom services. The company consistently conducts multiple corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities to support social causes ranging from sanitation to helping orphanages to providing broadband internet in schools. Promotion of “green” conservation and afforestation
The company has taken many initiatives to work for environmental conservation, especially promoting sustainable practices and promoting greenery. In line with this, the company has carried out an afforestation and greenery conservation program from Maitighar to Tinkune in Kathmandu. This involved the company planting seasonal flower plants, trees, couch grass, sorting, etc. The activities enhanced the beauty of the whole stretch and enriched nature.

Extending its support further, Nepal Telecom has also provided warm clothes and blankets for the residents at Orphaneges, and homes for the elderly (Vriddhashram) to stay warm in the winter season.

As part of its other CSR activities, Nepal Telecom also provided bed cum chairs at Bir Hospital and others for caretakers who come to stay by the side of the patients.
Internet at schools
Besides, NT has also brought broadband connectivity to various schools to ease the learning process. The company has connected 100 government and community schools with 50 Mbps FTTH internet. The connection is free for 1 year. At the same time, in areas where NT Fiber has not reached, it has provided Namaste WiFi router with a 4G internet package for free for 1 year.
