Nepal Telecom (Ntc) has announced of testing the end of call summary message in their mobile. As known, the end of call (EoC) service will come soon to the Ntc mobile. So, Ntc needs to test the alert service before launching.
End of call service is an alert that appears in your mobile screen after you end a voice call and provides you the summary of the balance in your SIM. This service is already available with other telecom operators Ncell and Smart Cell.
Before the service was available in Nepal Telecom mobile for a brief period of time, but they remove it later that time.
Ntc now informs people of possible alert message may be displayed to some customers as they will be testing the service. The test begins from the night time of Falgun 13, 2076. After the testing, they will launch the alerting service to all of their customers.
As per the technology support, this end of call summary message works in GSM mobile only. We believe CDMA doesn’t support his kind of service.
During the 12th Annual General Meeting of the company, some shareholders strongly demanded to provide such balance information after the call. This is beneficial to the naive customers who could not dial any code on their own to get the balance information.
Although this service helps you to get the balance information right after calling, there is a mixed reaction to the service. Some people prefer it as it saves them from dialing some code to check the balance. They also expect the remaining voice and data information in the message after the call. We do wonder what will happen during a call divert situation.
