Xiaomi has launched its popular Redmi series smartphone dubbed as Redmi 10 globally. The mid-range smartphone Redmi 10 arrives with many upgrades and impressive specs and features. So, let’s know more in detail about the specs, availability, and Redmi 10 price in Nepal below.
Redmi 10 is the successor and upgrade to the Redmi 9 that was launched a year back in Nepal. The smartphone boasts features like a 90Hz display, MediaTek Helio G88 SoC, 50MP quad-cameras, and more.
Starting off with the design, Redmi 10 comes with a new Evol design, in line with the Redmi Note 10 series. The phone is thinner and lighter. The device measures 161.95 x 75.53 x 8.92 mm in dimensions and weighs only 181 gm. There is also a centered punch-hole at the front that houses a selfie camera. Redmi 10 arrives in Radiant and classy colors, Carbon Gray, Pebble White, and Sea Blue.
Redmi 10 flaunts a large 6.5 inches Full HD+ DotDisplay with a screen resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels and a 90Hz refresh rate. The smartphone has a Power-saving AdaptiveSync refresh rate, 45Hz while the screen is immobile, 60Hz for video streaming, and a 90Hz refresh rate for scrolling/gaming. It automatically matches the refresh rate to the frame rate of the content, offering a smoother result while extending the battery life. The device also comes with a 20:9 aspect ratio, 83.5% screen-to-body ratio, 405 PPI density, Sunlight display, Reading mode 3.0, etc. The device is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. As for biometrics, the phone features a Side-mounted Fingerprint Scanner and AI Face Unlock.
Speaking of the cameras, Redmi 10 sports a quad-camera setup at the rear with a rectangular camera module. It consists of a 50 MP primary camera with an f/1.8 aperture, an 8 MP Ultra-wide angle lens with FOV 118° and f/2.2 aperture, a 2 MP macro sensor with f/2.4 aperture, and a 2 MP depth sensor with f/2.4 aperture.
On the front, the smartphone houses an 8 MP Selfie camera with an f/2.0 aperture at the front. Talking about the videography aspect, both the front and rear cameras are capable of shooting videos up to 1080p/[email protected]
In terms of performance, Redmi 10 rocks the MediaTek Helio G88 SoC. It is an octa-core processor based on a 12 nm manufacturing process that comes with 2 Arm Cortex-A75 clocked at 2GHz, and 6 Arm Cortex-A55 clocked at 1.8GHz. As for graphics, it has Arm Mali-G52 GPU onboard. Talking about the memory configuration of the device, it is coupled with up to 6GB LPDDR4X RAM and up to 128GB of eMMC storage on board. You also get memory expansion of up to 512GB via a dedicated microSD card slot.
On the software front, the Redmi 10 runs on MIUI 12.5 based on the Android 11 Operating System. The brand new processor produces clearer photos and provides an improved gaming experience.
Talking about the battery prowess of the smartphone, Redmi 10 is fueled with a massive 5000mAh (typ) battery. The device also supports 18 W fast charging technology and a 9W reverse wired charging. It comes with a 22.5W charger inside the box. As per the brand’s claim, it lasts up to 30 hours of phone calls, 14 hours of videos, and 158 hours of music.
The Connectivity options of the Redmi Note 10 include a Dual SIM (Nano-SIM, dual stand-by), Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, dual-band, Wi-Fi Direct, hotspot, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, A-GPS, GLONASS, GALILEO, BDS, IR blaster, USB Type-C port, FM radio, Dual speakers, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. It has a 4G network with 4G bands 1/2/3/4/5/7/8/20/28/38/40/41.
Redmi 10 is launched at the starting price of $179 for the base 4GB/64GB variant Globally. The smartphone will go on sale from August 20. The availability of the device in the exact markets has not been announced. If launched, the smartphone is speculated to launch at the price of Rs. 22,999 for the base variant in Nepal.
