Xiaomi has launched its first smartphone of the 2021 Redmi 9 Power in Nepal. Redmi 9 Power was launched a couple of months back in India and finally makes its way in Nepal. It is an entry-level smartphone that comes fueled by a snapdragon 662 processor, FHD+ Display, 48 MP AI quad-camera setup, and more specs. The brand has also introduced a new 6GB RAM variant recently in Nepal. So, now let’s know more in detail about the specs, availability, and Redmi 9 Power Price in Nepal below.
Redmi 9 Power is the rebadged version of the Redmi Note 9 4G that was launched a few months back in China. It arrives with some minor changes and tweaks on it.
Starting off with the design of the smartphone, it has a polycarbonate rear panel and has a huge Redmi branding that runs parallel to the camera. It has a plastic frame and plastic back with Aura Power design. The display also includes a dew-drop notch at the top for an 8MP selfie camera at the front. The smartphone also has a splash proof nano-coating.
Redmi 9 Power sports a 6.53-inch IPS LCD FHD+ display panel on the front with a screen resolution of 2340 x 1080 pixels, 19.5:9 aspect ratio, and a typical brightness level of 400 nits. The screen of the smartphone comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection and it is also certified by TÜV Rheinland for low blue light emission (Reading Mode). For security, it is equipped with the side-mounted fingerprint sensor and face unlock.
Now coming to the optics of the smartphone, Redmi 9 Power flaunts a AI quad rear camera setup. It consists of a 48 MP primary camera with f/1.8 aperture, an 8 MP ultra wide-angle camera along with f/2.2 aperture & Field Of View 120°, a 2 MP macro sensor with f/2.4 aperture, and a 2 MP depth sensor with f/2.4 aperture. The smartphone houses an 8 MP Selfie camera with f/2.48 aperture at the front.
It has some attractive camera features on it like HDR, Portrait mode background blurring, Movie Frame, Time-Lapse, Night mode, and Color Focus. etc. Now, as for the videography of the device, it is capable of recording videos up to [email protected] on both front and rear cameras.
Under the hood, Redmi 9 Power is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 Processor that also fuels Poco M3. It is an octa-core processor based on an 11nm process that clocks up to 2.0GHz speed and delivers high performance with low power consumption. Redmi 9 Power is attached with 4GB of RAM along with storage options 64GB (UFS 2.1) and 128GB (UFS 2.2). If needed one can expand their memory up to 512GB via a dedicated MicroSD card slot.
At the software front, Redmi 9 Power runs on MIUI 12 based Android 10 OS.
Talking about the battery of the smartphone, Redmi 9 Power is incorporated with the humongous battery of 6,000mAh capacity. It also comes with the support for 18W fast charge, 2.5 W Reverse charging, and is equipped with a 22.5W fast charger in the box. The brand claims that the battery has 695 hours standby, sustains up to 215 hours of music playback, 45 hours of the call, 13.5 hours of gaming, 26 hours of 1080p video playback, and 10 hours of Video recording. So, you won’t have to worry about your smartphone running out of battery.
Talking about the connectivity options of the Redmi Note 9S, it goes on to feature 4G VoLTE, Dual SIM slot, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, dual-band, Wi-Fi Direct, hotspot, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, A-GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, IR blaster, micro USB, USB Type-C port, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and Hi-res Stereo speakers.

Redmi 9 Power is launched at the price of Rs. 18,999 for the 4GB/64GB variant and Rs. 20,999 for 4GB/128GB variant in Nepal. The smartphone is available for purchase in all the authorized Xiaomi mobile stores across Nepal and online markets. It is available in four different color variants such as Mighty Black, Fiery Red, Electric Green, and Blazing Blue. The phone competes with other phones in the same price segment as Poco M2, Redmi 9, Motorola Moto G9 Play, etc.
