Huawei, one of the popular handset company in Nepal has launched its latest flagship phone here, in a big event at CIty center, Kamalpokhari.  Along with the launch of the P9 phone, there were musical performances by Yama Buddha, Sugam Pokharel, and paani paryo dance by the group ‘CartoonZ crew’. They even highlighted some of the features of the phone along with their overall market situation from scratch till today.  The biggest feature in the phone is to include the dual 12 MP rear camera, in collaboration with German camera maker Leica.  The dual camera and its advantage was also largely described by Huawei people along with a famed photographer Kishor Kayastha.  The photographer writes about the phone as ” It’s not just cellphone for me, it’s best camera with cellphone”.

Along with the dual camera, the photos can be refocused with a shallow depth of field like effect, i.e. sharply focused object and blurry effect else where. It is not like what we get from a professional DSLR, but a software effect still makes a great looking shots. One of the dual rear camera being a monochrome sensor, enables you to take nice black and white shots.  The smartphone photography is known to be taken up to next level with this phone. The front facing camera is of 8 Mega pixels.

Huawei Nepal has launched the device in Nepal ahead than India and made available in the stores, whereas it will be launched on August 17 in India. Huawei says it is the third largest phone maker in the world, with Samsung in the top and Apple in the second. In the launch event, Huawei claims their position in Nepal to be second to Samsung.
