Nepal Telecom has several good services, for which people are not even aware of. This had happened for several services before. Among those services, here is a one that we have found while browsing their newly updated website. Nepal Telecom has made free browsing on several websites with its GSM mobile service. And the list is quite huge.

They have not mentioned the service anywhere in their promotional activities. But it was on the company’s anniversary that they announced of making their own website free browsing with the mobile data. As it is only in the mobile that people are quite aware of the data usage, that was taken as a relief to some people. Most of the people were also unaware of such free browsing.

The recent website upgrade includes the free of charge website browsing with the GSM mobile. They mentioned of such free browsing with some 600 websites through GSM mobile internet. Those websites are all Nepal Government websites. We assume they bring out this service to provide easy access to governmental websites. Further, they can enhance this kind of service to promote e-governance in the coming days.

But until and unless, there is a single portal for all of the information, people are less likely to be acquainted with these services. Nonetheless, we must acknowledge Nepal Telecom’s effort in helping out the people for free access to government sites. All of them are .gov.np that are official Nepal government websites including the Council of Ministries, Several Departments, Organizations, Corporations, Regulators, National level big projects, Government bodies like Nepal Police, and many more.
