With the launch of new Nokia smartphones in India, one of the smartphones is already available here in Nepal. It is the cheapest among the new lineup of smartphones. The smartphone is Nokia 3, which is already available in the local stores. Previously they had launched a newer version of their popular feature phone: 3310 (2017) here in Nepal.
But there’s a catch to the launch story. Paramount electronics, the authorized distributor of Nokia phones has not yet done any launch program for the phones. As they are available here in very limited numbers, there is no such grande program to let all Nepali know about it. They can hide from general public but not from gadget freaks like us.

The price of the Nokia 3 phone is Rs 15,600 in the local shop. You may get different price, depending on the shops. Comparing to the price that in India, it is a little expensive. But if they bring it in large scale later, the price may go down little.

- Nokia 5 price in Nepali: Rs 21,000 (translating from 12,900 Indian rupees).
- Nokia 6 price in Nepal: Rs 25,000 (similar translation) which is from 15,000 Indian rupees)

Regarding the price of Nokia 3 phones, some margin in the price is there in comparison to Indian price, likewise all other smartphones from abroad. Among them, Nokia 6 is the highest end till date, launched first in China only. But it is also a medium range phone, suitable for many people here in Nepal. If you consider some limited pressure on your wallet, then you may go for Nokia 5. The ones who prefer flagships may need to wait for more time as the rumored high end phones: Nokia 8 or Nokia 9 is not yet announced.
