The book-style foldable, which debuted in China earlier this year, succeeds the Vivo X Fold5, bringing improved and flagship-level hardware, a large battery, and a ZEISS-powered camera system.
The X Fold 6 boots on vivo’s latest OS, OriginOS 7 Fold, which is built on top of Google’s Android 17. It comes with a suite of AI features to enhance daily productivity for users.
Vivo X Fold6 Overview
120Hz dual-display setup

The Vivo X Fold 6 features two LTPO AMOLED displays. Its main foldable screen measures 8.02 inches and offers a 2K+ resolution of 2504 × 2312 pixels. Likewise, the outer display stretches 6.51 inches and has a resolution of 2528 × 1120 pixels. Both of these are familiar display specifications, as it succeeds the vivo X Fold5. Both screens support an adaptive refresh rate of up to 120Hz, Dolby Vision, and up to 5,000 nits of peak brightness.
Similar but iconic design continues
Design-wise, it’s familiar territory. The device weighs up to 235 grams, which is great given that it’s a foldable gadget. It’s got round corners, and one of the build highlights is its circular camera module on the back that features a triple-camera setup.
The frames are made of aluminum, while the back is glass-fiber reinforced plastic. The device focuses on durability and sustainability thanks to its IP58/IP59/IPX8/IPX9 certification that keeps it safe from higher water pressure jets and dust.
Powered by Dimensity 9500 Super Edition
The global X Fold 6 is powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 9500 Super Edition chipset, built using a 3nm process. The phone comes with up to 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB UFS 4.1 storage, although the exact memory and storage combinations vary depending on the market. The processor and resources are good enough for every modern-day smartphone user, whether to store photos, videos, or apps and browse smoothly without lag. It’s a flagship device, so that is also expected.
Vivo has added several productivity-focused features, including Multi-Task Workbench, Multi-Split Screen, and AI Cross-App Drag. The device also gets AI Meeting Assistant, AI File Manager, AI Reader Mode, and the Jovi AI agent.

200MP ZEISS camera setup

Photography aspects are another major highlight of the Vivo X Fold 6. The vivo X Fold6 comes with a 200 MP main wide camera with ZEISS T coating and OIS for stable photography. It’s further accompanied by a 50 MP ultrawide camera and a 50 MP periscope telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom.
The phone also supports up to 100x ZEISS HyperZoom and 4K video recording at 60fps with Dolby Vision. Both the inner and outer displays house 20MP selfie cameras.
Vivo is also positioning the X Fold 6 as a camera-focused foldable, with support for the ZEISS Telephoto Extender Gen 2, which provides a 200mm-equivalent focal length.
6,900mAh battery with 80W charging

Despite its foldable form factor, the Vivo X Fold 6 packs a respectably large 6,900mAh battery and pairs it up with equally commendable 80W wired fast charging and 40W wireless charging, giving the device a combination of high battery capacity and fast charging capability.
The phone is also notably slim. The Prism Black version measures just 4.4mm when unfolded and weighs 228 grams, while the Horizon Blue version is 4.8mm thick and weighs 235 grams. The color variants’ availability depends on the market, though. The Prism Black and Horizon Blue variants are available in Global, Europe, and Indian markets, while in China, it’s shipped in Blue Hole Salt Lake, Polar Night, and a special Black Gold Edition.
