Ntc data users cross 1 crore in number

NTC (Nepal Telecom) data users have crossed 1 crore that is 10 million users. As per the latest MIS report, the total number of Ntc data users has reached 1 crore 1 lakh and 54 thousand users ( 10154000 in numbers). This shows the huge customer base of Ntc for data. Among the total Ntc users, the percentage of data users is around 50.

The total number of data users mainly comprises of GSM (2G, 3G, 4G) data users, CDMA data users, WiMAX, and ADSL. Here is the distribution of total data users in different services/technologies of Nepal Telecom.

• Ntc GSM data users: 97,95100
• Ntc CDMA data users: 1,36,500
• WiMAX users: 17000
• ADSL users: 1,99700

The total customer base for data in Ashad 2074 was 84,25894. Now this number in 2074 Chaitra has reached 10154000. NTC says their customer base for data increased by 20.54 percent in these nine months of the current FY.

As included in the latest MIS, Ntc 4G users are 5,59172 (5 lakh, 59 thousand, 1 hundred and 72). This Ntc 4G user number is 38.58 percent of the total 4G users in Nepal.

Until the end of Chaitra 2074, the total service users is nearly 2 crore ( to be exact 193,22855). Which includes 1 crore 69 lakhs 44 thousand, 5 hundred 39 from GSM service alone. NTC CDMA users include 16,88,351 and PSTN landline users include 6,89,373 in numbers.

As Ntc has been providing several affordable data offers for their customers, their data subscribers have increased significantly. The data users will increase more in the coming days with the expansion of mobile networks (2G, 3G, 4G) and people’s demand for home internet. These days, people cannot live without the internet for even minutes. Now, the operators need to focus on building infrastructure in remote locations for such data services.
