Ntc resumes international data roaming service

Nepal Telecom (Ntc) has resumed the data roaming service for its GSM mobile customers. With this service, Ntc customers can surf the internet while roaming in a foreign country. Now, this data roaming service is only available for India. Find the details of international data roaming service in Ntc and cost below.

Ntc has been providing international roaming service in Postpaid mobile for a long time. With the international roaming service, Ntc postpaid customers could use the mobile service with 192 operators of 87 countries. Similarly, Ntc started international roaming service in Prepaid for India and China. Find how to activate international roaming service in Ntc.

With its intention to revamp its international roaming service, Nepal Telecom had halted the international data roaming service. Now they have again started providing the data roaming service from Bhadra 20, 2076. All the customers who take the international roaming can now use the data service along with the Voice and SMS service. Currently, the service is only available for roaming in India only.

NTC customers who had already taken international roaming service till Bhadra 19, 2076 will also get this service. Similarly, new customers who take the roaming service will instantly get the voice, SMS and data service roaming together.

What is the international data roaming service?

International data roaming service enables a customer to browse the internet on your mobile phone while you are roaming in other countries. Most of the telecom operators have this facility with the international roaming service.

To use the international data roaming service, first, you need to subscribe to the international roaming service. Then you also need to enable the data roaming feature in the settings of your mobile. To enable the data roaming in iPhone, you should go to Settings, Cellular, put “Cellular data” ON and also the “data roaming” feature ON. Similarly, for Android phone, you need to go the settings, Mobile networks, Data roaming and put it ON. You can use either of the technologies like 2G, 3G and 4G to use the data service also on roaming.

Ntc does not charge any for the activation of the international data roaming service. That is the activation of international roaming is for free.

Cost of international data roaming in Ntc

The cost of international data roaming service for India in Ntc prepaid and postpaid customers:

  • International data roaming service tariff to India: Rs 10 per 100 KB data

NTC says if you find any trouble regarding International roaming service, you can contact the customer center by dialing 1498.

As per their plan, Ntc will expand the data roaming service to more countries.
