Daraz, Nepal’s largest online marketplace has announced express delivery on the same day and also on the next day. The Alibaba-owned company, fresh off a record-setting 11.11 campaign, has now focused on service differentiation value to further enhance the customers’ shopping experience.
Daraz says its Same Day Delivery will apply on orders placed before 2 PM. The announcement will please Daraz customers who have had complaints of untimely products delivery in the past. The same-day delivery is going to delight every Daraz shopper who will get their favorite products to reach home on the same day they place orders.
For all the excitement, the express delivery service comes with a bit of a disappointment though. The express service is currently available inside Lalitpur and inside the Kathmandu Valley ring road. Besides, it will cost an extra shipping fee of Rs.89 to the customers.
Also, remember the service is applicable on fulfilled by Daraz products and Big marts weighing below 5 KGs. Besides the goods must have dimensions smaller than 999 cm.
Similarly, those products purchased after 2 pm will be delivered the next day. Plus the express delivery will not happen on Saturday. If you purchase products after 2 pm on Friday, you will only get them on Sunday.

More recently, the Alibaba-owned company saw off its most successful 11.11 single sale day campaign solidifying its position as the no.1 online marketplace in the country.
Daraz sold products worth 36 crores in 24 hours to 700,000 online shoppers. The company sold products worth Rs.6 crore within the first hour of the single sale day. The sales total in this fourth installment of the November 11 event increased by 130% over the last year’s campaign.
