Lok Bahadur Katwal has been elected as a new member of the Nepal Telecom (NTC) board. He will now serve as a board member representing the employees working at the company.

The Office of the Election Officer, Nepal Doorsanchar Company Ltd., announced the election results declaring Katuwal’s win. “As per the above results, Mr. Lok Bahadur Katuwal has received the highest number of votes and is hereby elected to the post of the Ntc board,” the letter signed by the election officer Birjhar Bhattarai states.

Ntc has a new board member from the employees – Lok Bahadur Katwal

Katwal won his way to the NTC board after securing the highest number of votes in the FPTP voting. He won the election with a slim margin receiving 1,335 votes His most immediate opponent Lal Bahadur Rana drew 1,182 votes. Another candidate Keshav Sharma got 898 votes to his name.

Lok Bahadur Katwal hails from Manakamana 06-, Sankhuwasabha, and is currently serving at the Telecom Training and Research Centre (TTRC). His other close opponents Lal Bahadur Rana and Keshav Sharma come from Chhayachhetra 05, Salyan, and Baglung 01, respectively. He is also a vital member of the National Telecom Employees’ Association of Nepal (NTEAN).

Katwal now replaces the outgoing Shankar Lamichhane on the Ntc board from employees. The employees at the company expect that his ascend to the Ntc board further accentuates a friendly working atmosphere and helps maintain strong work ethics among all.
