The NT 2G tower has been installed in Chandanbari, which lies on the route from Dhunche to Gosaikunda. The launch of legacy network further hints at the relevance and need of older generation network for communication. It means that 2G network is here to stay still for a few years and so are 2G users.

The 2G tower of Nepal Telecom in Chandanbari (on the way to Gosainkunda) enables connectivity for all the tourists and devotees. It also covers areas from Dhunche to Deurali, Lauiribinayak, and Gosainkunda, which lies at an elevation of 4,200 meters.
Gosainkunda is one of the most popular and religiously significant places in Nepal. But due to its remote geography, telecom services are not as ubiquitous as it’s in urban settlements. But telcos are making efforts to expand services in these strategically key areas.

And speaking of Gosaikunda, a grand fair is organized on Janaipurnima every year. So, the NT 2G tower will certainly help people in such times with voice and SMS service.
