Ncell Super Krishak App

Ncell has reached a partnership with Super Krishak App to provide digital agricultural support to Nepali farmers. The collaboration aims to bring modern and technology-driven assistance to farmers across Nepal and empower them with the power of connectivity.

Ncell has likened the partnership to a historic step en route to digitalizing Nepal’s agricultural sector and bridging the digital gap in agriculture.

The platform is developed by ‘Gham Power Nepal’ and seeks to empower farmers through digital technologies. It already has over 30,000 registered farmers across the country.

Ncell says that the Super Krishak App provides digital tools and services such as

  • Online Agriculture Training
  • Krishi Doctor
  • Krishi Cheena (satellite monitoring)

Together, these help farmers eradicate issues relating to pest and disease diagnosis, and crop monitoring insights right on their mobile phones.

Ncell and Super Krishak App to digitalize agricultural practice

Ncell says that its partnership with Super Krishak App enables farmers in every country to receive advanced, affordable, and locally appropriate support digitally. Farmers receive expert advice, suggestions, and access to modern technology that ensures farmers have assistance around the clock to improve their yields.

The initiative combines Ncell’s all-Nepal coverage of the 4G network and a million users, and Super Krishak app’s premium services. Both enable the fruits of benefits for farmers residing in nooks and corners in the country.

Farmers can utilize Ncell’s vast network coverage to use and benefit from agricultural services directly on their phone. It’s as easy as using balance for voice, data, and SMS services.

At the same time, one-time payments of Rs 756 and Rs 1,248 allow them to get the service for six months and a year, respectively. Ncell says that charges will be deducted from the main balance.

Being a technophile, I am particularly fascinated by the evolution of mobile networks in Nepal from legacy networks (2G, 3G) to 4G (with VoLTE, VoWiFi, eSIM) and the prospects of the upcoming 5G, and equally enthralled by the development of internet from the dial-up connection to the 2 Gbps XGS-PON fiber broadband technology and their transformative impact in the country.
