Summary✨

  • The latest app version 2.0.47 is required to access this feature, emphasizing the app’s role in delivering public services.

The government of Nepal has brought a QR facility for the Singhadurbar gate pass on the Nagarik App. From now on, the app users can request and get the QR to visit the administrative headquarters.

The government has already brought online the gate pass facility (e-gate pass) for citizens to enter the ministry complex. However, the recent move makes it more feasible and public-friendly. This is because the users of the Nagarik App can obtain a QR code to visit the Singadurbar on their phone.

Here are the steps to request the Singhadurbar gate pass QR on Nagarik App?

  • Open Nagarik App
  • Tap on Singhadurbar Pass under Other Services
  • Enter an office such as the Ministry of Finance, MoCIT, the Ministry of Home Affairs, etc.
  • Then enter details- Whom do you want to meet, and the Purpose of your visit
  • When you submit these details, you get another interface where you can see your request pending
  • The system now checks for your request and grants you a QR on the phone.

  • What’s in it for technology in RSP manifesto?

With this latest service, Nagarik App has become more meaningful and relevant. The app is designed to provide government services. As of now, you get over 2 dozen services from it, including those relating to police clearance, health insurance, driving license, etc.

The government is likely to further boost the app’s importance to make it a key vehicle to provide public services. We have got that conspicuous hint via its list of Action Plans.
