Nepal Telecom (NTC) and the National News Agency or Rastriya Samachar Samiti (RSS) have reached an agreement regarding the service exchange.
Nepal Telecom’s Managing Director Sangita Pahadi (Aryal) and RSS’s General Manager Sandip Rai signed the agreement papers to ratify the deal between the two organizations at an event at the telco’s office in Bhadrakali.
The agreement takes effect from September 17, 2026.
NTC and RSS to exchange services
With the agreement, Nepal Telecom will provide internet service to RSS while RSS will offer NT its news service. During the signing ceremony, both Pahadi and Rai expressed their confidence that the exchange of services between the two government agencies helps expand services for customers and also strengthen their relations.
They expressed the view that the agreement was based on the concept of mutual cooperation and collaboration, and both institutions would benefit from their service exchange with each other.
Recently, NTC and NTV also formalized their cooperation, and this is the latest cooperation partnership from the national telecom giant.
