What was said about the agreement?
Urvashi Basnet, Acting Chairperson of Public Service Broadcasting Nepal, said,
“I expect this cooperation between the two institutions to play an important role in further strengthening and making more effective the efforts to bring the problems of ordinary citizens to the attention of the authorities, as well as to inform the public about the work and actions being carried out by you and the government and their implementation.”

Simply doing our work is not enough; the general public also needs to know what we have done and how we have done it, and everyone needs to be kept informed. In this context, Nepal Television’s reach from villages to remote areas gives us an opportunity to expand our services and ensure that more people are informed about them.”

Nepal Telecom and Nepal Television cooperation for services
Nepal Telecom is the country’s leading telecom operator with services including GSM mobile and FTTH NT Fiber. The company also provides IPTV services through fiber cable under NT TV branding. Nepal Television is the government-owned television channel that serves news, sports, entertainment, education/health-related programs, and more.
The agreement between the two seems obvious and inevitable. Both are part of government enterprises and serve communication services. They can both complement each other while helping further their reach to more people across the country.
