Xiaomi Nepal has launched the Redmi Pad 2 tablet in Nepal. The new big-screen gadget features an 11-inch IPS LCD screen, a MediaTek Helio G100 Ultra processor, aluminum frame, among key features. It feels comparable to the Xiaomi Pad 7 in some matters, such as screen size, battery, etc. Explore its specs, features, price, and other details.

Redmi Pad 2 Overview

Design and Display

The Redmi Pad 2 is a slender tablet stretching 254.6 mm in length. It’s got aluminum frames and weighs up to 519 grams. As with other recent tablets, its camera design is different from others. It’s got a vertically aligned camera module on the back. But largely, it’s minimalistic with not much graphics.

As for the display, the tablet sports an 11-inch IPS LCD screen with a 90 Hz refresh rate and 600 nits of brightness. For me, the brighter part of the display specs is its 1600 x 2560 pixels resolution, which keeps visuals sharp and richly detailed.

Performance and Storage

Helio G100 Ultra

The tablet runs on the MediaTek Helio G100 Ultra chipset, fabricated using the 6nm process. It has eight cores clocking up to 2.2 GHz. It boots on HyperOS 2. In terms of storage, it comes with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage or 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. It’s a similar combo of RAM/ROM common with Xiaomi tablets in Nepal.

Camera

It comes with an 8 MP camera on the back panel with HDR support. The front, likewise, has a 5 MP front camera. Both can record videos at up to 30fps.

Battery and Charging

The Redmi Pad 2 features a 9,000mAh battery, which the company claims provides up to 86 days of life on standby, 234 hours of music playback, and 17 hours of video playback. The tablet reigns supreme for entertainment purposes thanks to its large battery life. The fast-charging support could have been slightly higher, but it’s 18W only. But that’s just about it.

Connectivity and Other Features

For charging and data transfer, it features a Type-C port. Xiaomi has given it quad speakers and Dolby Atmos support so audio will be immersive and high-quality.
