Namaste Pay digital wallet has become the official seller of Nepal Telecom (NTC) SIM cards. The two companies, Namaste Pay and NTC, have reached an agreement regarding the sales of Ntc SIM through the fast-growing digital wallet.
According to the agreement, merchants who earn their commission by selling SIM cards will receive their commission on the Namaste Pay wallet. The collaboration between the two makes sales of Ntc SIM simpler and convenient. It’s also merchant-friendly as they receive their commission via the wallet itself.
The company said in a press release on Thursday that the arrangement will make the commission payment process faster, more transparent, and easier. As per the agreement, retailers and POS outlets selling NTC SIM cards will receive their commission directly in their Namaste Pay wallet within a week. But for them to receive their commission, users will have their KYC (Know Your Customer) approved.
The process not only digitalizes SIM sales, but also helps minimize the wastage of SIM cards. Many use two SIM cards for primary and secondary use. But some also discard them after temporary use. Electronic verification would be a good step forward in curbing the misuse of SIM cards.
