OpenAI has launched ChatGPT Go in Nepal along with 15 other countries in Asia. The affordable version of the AI chatbot provides higher access to more image generation, enhanced data analysis, and more. Find out how much it costs in Nepal and more about it.

What is ChatGPT Go?

ChatGPT Go is an affordable version of ChatGPT that aims to bring OpenAI’s services to more users. The company describes it as a “lower-cost subscription plan”. For users who want to experience higher abilities of ChatGPT at a cheaper rate, the Go version is a good alternative. Other ChatGPT subscriptions come under Plus, Pro, Team, and Enterprise.

Most of us are using either the free version of ChatGPT or the paid one. But the ‘Go’ version sits in the middle and is suited to users who want to increase their productivity at a budget cost. With the ChatGPT Go subscription, you get more image generation, access to GPT-5, more personalized responses, etc. Here are the details. It uses the thinking (reasoning) mode by default when it thinks it needs to do so. If not, you can Try again > Think longer to toggle on the reasoning mode.

Yes. GPT-5 in ChatGPT Go automatically decides when to use its thinking (reasoning) mode after you ask a question.

Have you tried ChatGPT Search?

ChatGPT Go Features

Here are the major features of ChatGPT Go:

  • Access to GPT-5: ChatGPT Go brings users access to its advanced large-language model (LLM), GPT-5. It means a more capable and efficient AI chatbot experience for the users.
  • More image generation: The subscription gives you more images per day as opposed to just three per day for free users.
  • Higher access to file uploads: You get to upload more files and have GPT-5 analyze them for you. The files could be Word files, spreadsheets, and others. Your productivity gets a major boost with a ChatGPT Go subscription, even if you are in Nepal.
  • More advanced data analysis: You can also use Python for data exploration and problem-solving.
  • Longer memory and more personalized responses: ChatGPT free is already good with a personalized experience. However, the Go subscription takes it further, and your chat is kept in a longer memory. You also get a larger context window to make your chats more engaging and user-friendly.
  • Access to projects, tasks, and custom GPTs: With ChatGPT Go, you can organize your work, keep track of your work progress, and create and edit GPTs to build AI tools as per your needs.

As of now, ChatGPT Go is available in 18 Asian countries. These are Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, India, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Maldives, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan, Philippines, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Timor-Leste (East Timor), and Vietnam.

OpenAI had launched this version of ChatGPT in India and Indonesia earlier in 2025.

Speaking of ChatGPT, it’s hugely popular in Nepal. It’s so prominent here that in 2023, Nepal was among the countries that drove its growth on Google Search. The launch of ChatGPT Go in Nepal at an affordable price shall further accelerate its popularity and reception here.
