The 2026 International Conference on ICT and Photonics (ICTP 2026) and IEEE Photonics Society Nanjing Chapter have been announced. The mega event is being organized by the Research and Innovation Center Nepal (RICON) and Nepal Engineering College (NEC), with the technical sponsorship of the IEEE Nepal Chapter. It’s the first IEEE conference in the ICTP series and is expected to be a major step for Nepal’s scientific and academic landscape.

Key features of the International Conference on ICT and Photonics 2026
The ICTP 2026 event will feature distinguished professors and researchers from Nepal, China, India, Korea, and Vietnam as key speakers. Over 100 research papers are expected from foreign contributors. In addition, the conference will feature a Special Workshop on Global Digital Innovation & Impact. It will be hosted by the School of Global Digital Innovation (GDI) of Korea’s top research university, Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST), through which government officials, policymakers, and digital governance leaders from Korea and other countries will discuss emerging policies in digital governance, AI strategies, and cross-border collaboration. It is a great opportunity for Nepalese and Nepalese enthusiasts from the field to learn directly from global experts and find new pathways for national digital transformation.
The event is backed by major universities, engineering colleges, the University Grants Commission, the Nepal Academy of Science and Technology (NAST), and other organizations.
