Motorola Edge 50 Price in Nepal

Motorola Edge 50 has been launched globally (along with Motorola Edge 50 Neo) and could be on its way to Nepal via Chaudhary Group (CG). The phone can be categorized in the upper midrange segment in terms of price and offers plenty of useful attributes such as IP68 ingress protection, 8GB RAM, WiFi 6E, etc. If it launches in Nepal, it will certainly stir the smartphone market.

CG is known to be the official seller of Motorola smartphones in Nepal so, we might see the prominent business house bring the new Motorola phone to Nepal. For users who want a different Android experience from Redmi, Samsung, and others, a Motorola phone could promise a refreshing experience including this iteration.

Let’s find out key specifications, features, and possible price of Motorola Edge 50 in Nepal:

Motorola Edge 50 Overview

Design and display

Motorola Edge 50 is compliant with MIL-STD-810H military-grade build quality offering reliability and sustenance. It has slightly round edges in a tall and slim body. While its front is made of glass, the frames are composed of aluminum, and the back of silicone polymer. The device is IP68-certified against dust and water splashes.

Motorola Edge 50 phone comes in three different color options — Jungle Green, Pantone Peach Fuzz, and Koala Grey. Jungle Green and Pantone Peach Fuzz come with a vegan leather finish, while Koala Grey rocks a vegan suede finish.

The phone appears with a 6.7-inch 1.5K pOLED display. The screen has been given a 120 Hz refresh rate and 1,900 nits of peak brightness. It also comes with Smart Water Touch technology which enables users to touch the phone with wet hands and operate normally.

Performance

Moto Edge 50 is powered by a 4nm build Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 Accelerated Edition. The last two words mean it’s a custom-made processor from the original S7G1. It’s an octa-core setup with a prime core clocking up to 2.5 GHz speed. Likewise, the chipset is paired with Adreno 644 GPU.

In the memory department, the phone features 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal storage, a commendable combination for a midrange phone. However, there’s no slot to expand its storage. The phone boots on Hello UI based on Android 14.

Motorola Edge 50 features Dolby Atmos-powered dual-stereo speakers to deliver a premium audio experience.

Camera

The phone sports a triple-camera setup headed by a 50 MP Sony-Lytia 700C main sensor. Secondly, it features a 10 MP telephoto lens capable of 3x optical zoom, and a 13 MP ultrawide camera. Both main and telephoto cameras support OIS. Also, the main camera combines the Sony LYTIA™ sensor with “moto ai” to deliver extra amazing photos.

Similarly, the device features a 32 MP selfie camera. Both back and front cameras can record videos at a maximum of 4K@30fps.

Battery and connectivity

Continuing with the impressive specs, the phone comes with a 5,000mAh battery backed by 68W wired fast-charging support. Likewise, Motorola has afforded it a 15W wireless charging capability as well. The phone connects to 5G, WiFi 6E (tri-band), Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, USB Type-C 2.0, etc. for connectivity.

Our initial verdict

Motorola-Edge-50-in-Nepal

Motorola Edge 50 will likely come in under Rs 50000 phones segment. But given its premium features, and specs, as well as “moto ai” for photography, it will be worth the price for many, especially those longing for a Moto phone. The device once launched will compete with the likes of Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus and Samsung Galaxy M55 5G. We also wish that Motorola Edge 50 Pro and Motorola Edge 50 Neo make it to the stores in Nepal.
