Redmi Note 10 is the successor to the Redmi Note 9 that was launched a year back in Nepal. The smartphone arrives with many upgrades and tweaks in comparison to its predecessor. The smartphone boasts many attractive specs and features that will put its competitors to shame.
Starting off with the design of the smartphone, Redmi Note 10 has come up with a new Evol design finally parting ways with the “Aura Design”. The Evol Design provides a sleek and slim body to the phone. The design of the smartphone is hugely inspired by the Redmi K40 series. Contrary to its pro variants, the smartphone has a polycarbonate back. On the front, the smartphone has a punch-hole cutout design that houses the selfie camera. It also features IP53, dust, and splash protection.
The Redmi fans will be delighted to hear that the brand has finally listened to their pleading. Redmi Note 10 flaunts a 6.43 inches Super AMOLED FULL HD+ Display with a screen resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels and a 60Hz refresh rate. Apart from this, the phone supports a 100% DCI-P3 color gamut, 4500000:1 contrast ratio, HDR 10, and a peak screen brightness of 1100 nits. It also has an aspect ratio of 20:9, 83.5% screen-to-body ratio, and 409ppi density. Redmi Note 9 also comes with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.
Moving our attention to the optics of the phone, it arrives with a redesigned camera setup. Redmi Note 10 flaunts a Quad rear camera array with a vertical rectangular module that consists of a 48 MP Sony IMX582 primary sensor with f/1.79 aperture, an 8 MP Ultra-wide angle Camera, a 2 MP macro sensor with f/2.4 aperture, and a 2 MP depth sensor with f/2.4 aperture. The smartphone houses a 13 MP In-Display Selfie camera with an f/2.5 aperture at the front.
You can enjoy magnanimous camera features on the phone such as Portrait, Panorama, Time Lapse, Pro Mode, Night Mode, Ultra wide-angle distortion correction, Custom Watermark, HDR, Kaleidoscope, AI scene detection Time burst, Google Lens, AI Watermark, Movie Frame, Palm Shutter, etc. On the videography aspect, you can shoot up to [email protected], [email protected]/60/120fps, [email protected] at the rear camera, and the front camera can record videos up to 1080p/[email protected]
Powering the phone is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 678 chipset which is a slight upgrade compared to the Redmi Note 9’s Snapdragon 675. It is an 11 nm-based processor with the Adreno 612 GPU onboard. It is clocked at 895MHz for a smoother gaming experience. Sadly it’s not a 5G capable SoC. The device comes attached with up to 6GB LPDDR4X RAM and up to 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage. You also can get a storage expansion option via a dedicated microSD card slot.
Furthermore, at the software front, the Redmi Note 10 runs on MIUI 12 based on the Android 11 Operating System.
Like all the Redmi phones, Redmi Note 10 also boasts a gigantic battery of 5000mAh Li-Polymer Battery along with the support of 33 W fast charging. It comes equipped with a USB Type-C reversible connector port to charge the phone. Xiaomi claims that the phone charges from 0 to 100% in only 74 minutes.
