Xiaomi officially announced its new Android skin HyperOS that will replace its current and iconic MIUI software. Below, we list the smartphones that will get this new-generation OS in December 2023.
The Android 14-based HyperOS debuted with the Xiaomi 14 Pro and Xiaomi 14 smartphones. Soon, the company will expand the software to more Xiaomi and Redmi devices. So, expect to get the new-generation OS on your device sooner or later (This may not include all the devices though).
Upon its announcement, Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun said, “Today is a historic moment for Xiaomi. Xiaomi’s new operating system, Xiaomi HyperOS, has been officially packaged. Xiaomi 14 series, the first mobile phone equipped with the new system, has been delivered to the factory and production has officially started. From this moment on, #小米湃湃OS# (HyperOS) will gradually succeed MIUI.”
Currently, Xiaomi has over 600 million daily active users on its MIUI-powered devices. Xiaomi says HyperOS will “put people at the center to create a full ecological operating system for people, cars, and families.”
If you didn’t know, MIUI/HyperOS is to Xiaomi what iOS is to Apple or One UI is to Samsung. Every smartphone vendor has their own operating system that powers their handsets. Check out: Apple iOS 17 Launched: Find Roll Out Date, Major Features: StandBy, FaceTime, Battery Drain Fix
