Samsung officially announced two new phones A8(2018) and A8+(2018). Both the Samsung Galaxy A8 phones are inspired by the design of Galaxy S8 with the features like dust and water resistance and full Infinity Display. They feature a dual front-facing camera for better selfies. With the trending design of dual cameras in front and back, Samsung has introduced dual selfie cameras in both A8.
The A8 and A8+ run on Samsung’s own Exynos 7885 processor. They come with 32 and 64 GB of internal storage, and 4GB of RAM. A8+ also comes in a 6GB variant, which is better for multitasking. Both the phones have Android 7.1.1(Nougat), a 16-megapixel rear camera with f/1.7, and two front-facing cameras. Front-facing cameras have 16MP and 8MP sensors which makes portrait mode more beautiful and futuristic.
The Galaxy A8 features a full-HD+ super AMOLED display of 5.6 inches with an aspect ratio of 18:9 which is similar to that of the Samsung Galaxy S8. The Galaxy A8+ comes with a larger 6 inches full-HD+ Super AMOLED display of 2220*1080 pixels of resolution. The display panels are identical to their flagships S8 and S8+ which have curved glass protection on top of Infinity Display panels.
Samsung says that it will be launching A8 and A8+ in early January of 2018, but it still hasn’t announced pricing details. Some of the rumors say that these phones will cost around $500 considering all of the specs and features they’re bringing, and if that’s the case, this phone will be a good competition to the OnePlus 5T. The phones are also likely to come to Nepal sooner, as happened with other Samsung phones. Stay tuned for further updates.
