Ntc (Nepal Telecom) has been provided Dr. Rishi Raj Sharma Disaster information award. Ntc got the award for sending regular disaster information to the people during the disaster.
Ntc had sent flood pre information through 100s of thousand of Mass SMS to people, during the monsoon of year B.S. 2073 and 2074. With the message, many lives and physical properties were saved. Due to their continuous effort, Ntc got the award with special recognition.
There was a function during the closing of National Water and Weather Week 2018. Where Minister for Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation Mr. Barsha Man Pun handed over the award with appreciation certificate to Ntc MD Mrs. Kamini Raj Bhandari. Department of hydrology and Meteorology and Society for that particular sector has managed the award.
Nepal Telecom (Ntc) has been doing a lot of corporate social responsibility (CSR) works, for which we the people are always thankful. We will never forget the one week free calls (even international), SMS and data during the disaster period of earthquake. That time it was very useful for people to talk to their family, friends. For which we would again like to thank Ntc.
