Compare Samsung Note 10+ Vs Huawei P30 Pro

With the launch of Samsung Note 10 Plus, its gonna be the battle of the beast phones from the Giants Samsung and Huawei. Talking about the level of Hype, Specs and the excitement, the flagship Samsung Note 10 + and Huawei P30 Pro are quite comparable to each other. Let’s find out the comparison of the phones: Samsung Note 10+ Vs Huawei P30 Pro here.


Let’s start from the display of these phones. Samsung Note 10 Plus has the 6.8 inches, 19:9, FHD, 90.74%, HDR10+, Infinity-O Dynamic AMOLED display whereas Huawei P30 Pro has the 6.47 inches, 19.5:9, FHD, OLED, HDR10 screen. Both of the devices have a curved screen with a selfie camera cut out in the top center. Regarding the resolution, Samsung Note 10 + has a 3040 X 1440p (498 PPI) whereas P30 Pro has a 2340 x 1080 (398 PPI) screen resolution.

Comparing the processor, both the devices use their own home-grown chipset, Exynos 9825 in case of Note 10 plus and Kirin 980 for Huawei P30 Pro. Both the processor are made with 7 nm fabrication process and contains NPU (Neural Processing Unit) for the processing of Machine Learning / Artifical Intelligence works. The chipsets are more or less comparable in specs, with slight higher internet speed support (2 Gbps) in Exynos 9825. Kirin 980 processor has 1.4 Gbps support but no can go beyond that speed until we get 5G that quite rare for a single user.

Rear camera

Both the rear cameras are quad cameras with the same setup as the Main camera, Ultrawide camera, telephoto and the Time of Flight (ToF) or the 3D depth sensor. Huawei P30 Pro has higher resolution in comparison to Samsung Note 10 plus with 40+20+8 MP lenses as 12+12+16 MP. The apertue size in the main lens of Samsung Note 10+ and Huawei P30 are f/1.5 and f/1.6 respectively. Another added functionality in Huawei P30 Pro is the higher 5X optical zoom that goes up to 50X digital zoom.  According to the latest DxO mark testing, Samsung Note 10+ 5G version gets the highest mobile score of 113 which is just one score higher than Huawei P30 Pro. Huawei P30 Pro was once the king of the mobile photography as per DXOmark which is now dethroned by Note 10 plus.


Selfie Camera

Huawei has a higher resolution lens in the Selfie camera which is 32 MP as compared to that of 10 MP in Samsung Note 10 plus. The size of the camera cutout has also decreased in Note 10 plus, making look quite nice but brings Lil compromise over the aperture.

Battery and Charging

Samsung Note 10 plus has a slightly higher battery capacity of 4300 mAH over 4200 mAH in Huawei P30 Pro. The battery performance seems to be higher with the specs sheet at least on paper. Similarly, the charging support in Note 10 plus is 45 W but you have to rely on the 25W charger out of the box at first. Whereas Huawei P30 Pro supports 40 Watt Supercharging. Samsung had been a skeptic of bringing the full power of supercharging ever since the Note 7 mishap.

No headphone jack

Samsung followed other smartphone makers a little late in ditching the headphone jack whereas Huawei was already a step ahead from the Mate 20 Pro.  The latest Note 10 phones are the first flagship phones from Samsung with no headphone jack.

RAM and Storage

When it comes to performance, RAM size does matter for the phone performance and multi-tasking scenarios. Huwaei P30 pro has an 8 GB RAM and 256 GB to 512 GB storage whereas Note 10 plus has a 12 GB RAM and 256 GB to 512 GB storage capacity. Both the phones support adding extra storage to the phone either using hybrid slot or separate slot. Samsung Note 10 plus supports UFS 3.0 which has a faster flash memory access speeds.

As we have not used the phones as our daily driver, the above comparison is only based on the specs sheet. Hope they perform the same level as specified in its spec sheet. There are similarities like the four rear cameras, in-display fingerprint sensor, 256 GB storage, extra storage support, selfie cut-out, shiny colors and more. Expect for the Size, RAM, battery, fast charging, the phones also differ in the support of the stylus in Samsung. As the preference of phone features differ from person to person, we leave it to people to choose the winner as per their choice.
