For the first time in Nepal, Nepal Telecom covers an entire Village body with high-speed internet service through Fiber internet (FTTH) technology. Amidst a program at Suryapura Bajar of Gaidhawa, Ntc begins the fiber internet service from Bhadra 23, 2076.
In the program, Chief Guest and Rupandehi District-5 MP Mr. Bharat Kumar Shah made a voice and Video call to NTA chief Mr. Purushottam Khanal to inaugurate the service. Find all the news and information about Nepal Telecom.
Mr. Shah also praised Nepal Telecom’s effort for the high-speed internet service in the remote area which will benefit the community. Similarly, Nepal Telecom Bhairahwa Regional Director Mr. Surya Narayan Malakar opined to get rid of several cumbersome legal provisions and focus entirely on customer service.
This is also the first time in Nepal that a whole village body gets high-speed internet service. Mr. Malakar expressed his delight for being able to serve people in the village body. He also informed of Ntc’s plan to expand the fiber internet service to more village bodies.
Several businesspersons, entrepreneurs, organizations chief, Village bodies executives, and the general public were present in the program. Village body chief Mr. Bachhulal Kewat compared the state of having telecom service to that of not having it.
Free CPE
NTC also handed over the free CPE (router) to the customers who subscribed the FTTH service there. They also distributed free prepaid SIM card in the same program.
Packs
Ntc has been providing several packs including that for individual and corporate user, combo packs for FTTH service. The minimum cost of unlimited 8 Mbps FTTH pack costs Rs 8000 for a year. FTTH being the latest technology to connect the customer premises to telco office, can provide triple-play services. The triple play service includes Voice, High-speed internet and Video service. The voice and high-speed internet service are already there with Ntc FTTH whereas their Video (IPTV) service is in pipeline.
