The phone launched back in August has reached Nepal now. Marking the launch, Mr. Pranaya Ratna Sthapit, Samsung Mobile Business Head said, “As a global leader in technology, we are dedicated to providing meaningful innovations to our consumers. Our coolest new Galaxy A30s has been designed to elevate the smartphone experience of young millennials and Gen Z to the next level”. He further added, “These new smartphones empower the users to remain on-the-go and thereby encapsulate the philosophy of ‘Ready for Live’ for the Gen Z.”
Overview
Samsung Galaxy A30s has a 6.4-inch HD+ Super AMOLED screen with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio. There is an infinity V notch that houses the front camera. Having the full view display on the front and the geometric pattern on the back, the phone has a striking look.
Gone are the days when the under-display fingerprint is exclusive for flagship phones only. Samsung A30s also has the fingerprint sensor inside the screen for better securing your phone.
Samsung A30s is powered by an Octa-core, 14nm Exynos 7904 processor and includes 4 GB of RAM. Although these days, you find 6 GB RAM phones in all phones, they might have cut the cost with the lower RAM on this lower mid-range phone.
There is also an AI-based Game booster that enhances the experience of gaming without worrying about other settings.
Regarding the battery, the phone has a 4000 mAH, which is the most popular battery size for such midrange phones. The phone also comes with a 15-watt fast charging functionality over Type C connection.
The phone supports all of the 4G LTE bands operational here in Nepal. Read here for details of the 4G spectrum bands in Nepal and more.
The phone runs on One UI over Android 9. As far as the storage is concerned, the phone has various options but the Nepal market now only has 128 GB storage. Like other Samsung devices, there is a separate micro SD slot (to add storage up to 512 GB) in the dual nano-SIM phone.
Camera
When it comes to the number of cameras, there are four cameras in A30s; a triple rear camera in the back and one in the front. The triple rear camera includes 25 MP main camera, 8 MP ultra-wide, and 5 MP depth sensor. The larger aperture of f/1.7 can capture a nice photo even in lower lit situations.
The 7.6 mm width polycarbonate phone is very lightweight making it comfortable to hold for long. There are three color versions of the phone in Prism Crush Black, Prism Crush White, and an all-new millennial color, Prism Crush Violet.
