Ncell NSL friendly football match

Private telco Ncell organized a friendly football match on March 24 to celebrate the Nepal Super League (NSL) which starts on Saturday, March 29. The tournament was played in a seven-a-side format between three teams.

Three teams played a friendly football match at Lainchaur Ground. Nepal Sports Journalists Forum (NSJF) won the tie. The match proved to be a refreshment and a “tone set” for the participants. If you didn’t know, Ncell is also the title sponsor of the NSL.

The friendly match was a seven-a-side system which began with the Ncell Team playing against a team of artists and models led by former national footballer and veteran player Anil Gurung. The Ncell Team won the match 2-1. The final match went between the NSJF Team and Ncell Team as the former won with a score of 2-0.

Ncell NSL promotes the game and connects communities

“Ncell’s partnership with NSL reflects our strong commitment to the growth of Nepal’s sports sector. This collaboration aligns with Ncell’s theme, ‘Here for You’, reinforcing the belief that football connects communities and drives positive change in society,” said Umair Mohsin, Chief Commercial Officer of Ncell.

Ncell has joined NSL as its title sponsor to promote the sport and help nurture football players. But besides football, the private telco also actively takes part in empowering other sports and athletes. The company has made significant contributions supporting football, cricket, volleyball, golf, etc. as part of its corporate social responsibility (CSR) program. The company runs these initiatives through the Ncell Foundation.
