Nepal Telecom (NTC) has said that it is actively working to restore its internet speed. Currently (July 8, 2025), the company’s internet service is facing some disruptions due to heavy traffic pressure but it assures that its services will return to normalcy very soon.
To put into context, NTC services witnessed problems since 1:30 AM on July 8 (Ashar 24). As a result, users are finding it difficult to connect and use the company’s internet service.

Why Nepal Telecom internet speed is facing issues?
In its presser, Nepal Telecom said that its internet service is being affected because one of its international bandwidth providers is facing an issue.
Due to this, the company is operating all of its traffic through an alternative service provider. Therefore, its link has come under immense pressure, affecting its internet service.
But the company says that it’s undertaking all the efforts to restore the internet service very soon.
At the same time, the company has apologized for the inconvenience caused to its customers due to unforeseen circumstances.
Nepal Telecom is the country’s second-highest internet service provider with over 3.52 lakh fixed line customers and 1.46 crore data users.
