Ncell has reached a collaboration deal with WithSecure, the world’s leading cybersecurity firm from Finland, to enhance its enterprise customers’ security further. The cooperation further reflects the telco’s efforts in ensuring its customers’ safety from cyberattacks.

Ncell has glowingly described its cooperation with WithSecure. The telco’s Chief Business Officer, Dion Asencio, says that the cooperation with WithSecure is a key step to ensure a secure future.

“Trust your business future with Ncell. Ncell Business always place security at the heart of our enterprise offerings,” said Dion Asencio, Chief Enterprise Business Officer of Ncell. “Our partnership with WithSecure means our customers get world-class protection for their enterprises, so they can focus on growing their business without worrying about cyber threats.” Check out: How to secure yourself from threats? Ncell, WithSecure cooperation, an attempt at business diversification amidst financial struggles

Ncell has seen economic struggles in the past few years as the whole telecommunications industry suffers. Exorbitant taxes, dwindling revenue from voice, and affordable data packs have hit its financial gains. Therefore, the company is now exploring other means to sustain its operations. It sees diversification as a way to stay operational and provide quality services to its customers.

To date, Ncell has largely focused on mobile services. But now it’s feeling a need to diversify its operations to stay competitive in the industry. This is a reason it’s collaborated with Finnish cybersecurity giant WithSecure.

WithSecure provides endpoint device protection, detection, and response (EDR/XDR), cloud security, vulnerability management, email security, and threat intelligence. These are vital and significant to ensure Ncell enterprise customers’ services remain protected from cyber attacks and any attempt of infiltration.

Being a technophile, I am particularly fascinated by the evolution of mobile networks in Nepal from legacy networks (2G, 3G) to 4G (with VoLTE, VoWiFi, eSIM) and the prospects of the upcoming 5G, and equally enthralled by the development of internet from the dial-up connection to the 2 Gbps XGS-PON fiber broadband technology and their transformative impact in the country.
