Nepal Telecom (NTC) says that its prepaid SIM cards should be sold no more than Rs 90. The company has warned against overpricing its SIM Cards via a notice.
The company said that selling its SIM cards at more than Rs 90 is illegal. But users have complained that they are having to pay over the official amount for while buying a new NTC SIM card. This forced the government-backed company to officially state its SIM card’s MRP via a notice.

NTC says its SIM cards cost Rs 90 and talks of action if sold at a higher cost
After confirming that NTC prepaid SIM card should not cost more than Rs 90, the company also talked of action if found otherwise. In its notice, NT requested customers or anyone in knowledge of any sales center or stores overpricing NTC SIM cards to contact its nearby telecom office or district administration office, or police office.

If you buy a new NTC prepaid SIM card, you only need to pay Rs 90. The SIM comes with a balance of Rs 10. It also comes with a voice service of 40 minutes, 20 SMS, and 300 MB of data for free. The new SIM card price is inclusive of all applicable taxes too.
