Nepal Telecom data service is now restored after a disruption of a couple of hours. The telco’s users are finally able to connect to data use browse the internet on their phone, latched to the Ntc network.
The data problems started at around 05:00 PM on Tuesday, December 02, 2025. Users couldn’t use the data even after turning the service on. But as of writing this post, data seems to have been restored. I can see 4G signs on my phone too. Earlier, users, including me, couldn’t see any mobile network signs even after switching the option on to use the internet.

Nepal Telecom restores data service after a ‘short’ disruption
Nepal Telecom users can now finally use the data service. It was not a complete network outage either. NT users were still able to make calls and exchange SMS. Even the Ntc VoLTE service was working normally. But we did receive complaints from some users that they couldn’t make calls either. But the data service ran into some technical glitch for the majority if not all the Ntc users. Things have come back to normal now.
The company has not provided any official notice detailing the reasons behind the data disruption. But as expected, the company brought the service back after a couple of hours. NTC upgraded call center numbers recently, so you can call to get updates regarding the data service outage.
How can you get Ntc data to work after an outage?
Restart your phone, or activate and deactivate flight/airplane mode to trigger the data service to resume on your phone. It should work by default, but it doesn’t; these are your possible tips. You can also reset your phone’s network settings, but we suggest you don’t need to go that far.
We will bring more updates on this after Ntc issues an official notice. But the good thing is that you can now use the data service on the company’s network.
