Xiaomi Pad 8 Overview
Design and Display
The Xiaomi Pad 8 design is similar to the Xiaomi Pad 7. It maintains a slim body at 5.8 mm, thinner than Pad 7 at 6.2 mm. The weight has also become lighter at 485/494 grams. The frame and back of the tablet are made of aluminum.

Xiaomi Pad 8’s display size remains 11.2 inches, unchanged from Pad 7. The screen brightens till 800 nits, rocks a 144 Hz refresh rate, and comes with a resolution of 2136 x 3200 pixels (3.2K). It’s an IPS LCD screen, so the content on the screen is lifelike rather than vibrant. Choice is subjective, though.
Performance and Storage
Xiaomi Pad 8 is powered by Snapdragon 8s Gen 4, a distinct upgrade from Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 on Pad 7. The processor consists of eight cores with a single prime core running till 3.21 GHz. Memory-wise, it comes with 8/12 GB RAM with 128/256 GB storage.
Camera, Battery, Connectivity, and Other Features
The Pad 9 comes with a 13 MP main camera on the back and an 8 MP selfie camera on the front. The back camera can record videos at 4K at 30fps. Battery is another improvement here. The tablet comes with a 9200mAh battery with 45W wired charging and a 22.5W reverse charging feature.

Additionally, it supports up to WiFi 7 connection, unlike up to WiFi 6e on Pad 7. It also comes with Bluetooth 5.4, an infrared port, a USB Type-C 3.2 port, and other standard sensors and location services.
The quad speakers, the remarkable audio feature on Xiaomi tablets, are also available on Pad 8, ensuring an immersive audio experience backed by Dolby Atmos support and up to 200% volume boost. It’s also powered by Xiaomi’s HyperAI system-wide to provide elevated efficiency through apps and different use cases.
Productivity
The tablet supports WPS Office PC to offer higher productivity for users. Don’t forget that the Pad 8 screen can be used as a wireless external display for a MacBook, and file transfer is also possible with Apple devices. The cross-platform compatibility has been unlocked, ensuring better ecosystem fluidity.

Xiaomi Pad 8 features an upgraded enhanced Workstation Mode, expanding number of apps that can be positioned in the Dock to display. The Split-Screen modes can render apps in a 1:9 ratio for easier switching, while vertical Split-Screen lets users watch videos on top and take notes at the bottom. You can use a Xiaomi Pen and keyboard to further enhance your work on this tablet.
