State-telco Nepal Telecom (NTC) has restored its data, FTTH, and network issues. On March 28, 2026, the company’s services suffered outages for a few hours in the afternoon. However, the company has officially notified that the disruption has been eliminated.
First, FTTH users noticed a problem in their internet service. However, this was followed by outages in data and call services. These were all down to technical issues. The service disruption spanned nationwide for a while.
This network outage led to failed calls, data not working, and signal losses. NT Fiber users also noticed that their internet service was not working.
Nepal Telecom notice on data, FTTH service restoration
Nepal Telecom has released a notice that it has successfully restored its data and FTTH services. In the notice, the company mentioned that the service disruption emanated from technical reasons. The company has also apologized to the customers for the inconvenience it caused. It has shared that all of its services, including data and FTTH, are back to operation.

“We apologize for the inconvenience caused due to technical disruptions in Nepal Telecom’s Mobile Data, FTTH, and network services. We would like to inform you that the issue has been resolved and all services are now fully operational,” the company said in its social media post.
Network outages are not uncommon. This happens due to technical issues or external reasons such as fiber breakages, international bandwidth supply issues, etc. However, as the company said, you might now be able to access its services without a hitch.
However, if the problem still persists, such as not getting mobile signals, data, and calls not working, you can turn on and off the flight mode to see if that helps. I also suggest restarting your phone once to see if the service works normally.

If the above tips don’t work, then you should wait for NT to fix the service. It should not take much longer as it stands.
