Nepal Telecom promotes MPOS Pinless mobile recharge by providing a 5% bonus. Launched last year, NT’s MPOS (Pinless Top-Up) had not become quite popular among its subscribers. Though the subscribers don’t need to scratch a card and dial some code to recharge, NT had to encourage people to find and use it.
So, NT is launching the promotional bonus to MPOS recharge from the start of the New year 2013. The system was first available for NT’s GSM prepaid recharge and later made available for Landline, ADSL, and GSM postpaid bill payments.

What is MPOS?
MPOS stands for Mobile point of sale recharge that lets a user recharge their mobile by going to the nearest retail center and you don’t have to recharge a card plus no need to dial a code.
What do we have to do to recharge with MPOS?
You just have to give your number to the MPOS retail center and give the sum you want to recharge, they will do the rest and you will get an SMS for the recharge.
Can I recharge any sum with MPOS?
MPOS has a broad range of recharge values starting from Rs 10 to Rs 1000.

How many MPOS recharge centers are there in the whole of Nepal?
There are around 2000 retailers in Kathmandu alone and more in other locations.
Though Nepal Telecom launched the MPOS recharge for some years, it could not achieve the main objective. The Pinless recharge has its own benefits, no fear of pin scratch, mistakes with the number (as the shopkeeper will dial it).
