Xiaomi launches Mi showroom store in Kalanki

Xiaomi has launched its 5th authorized Mi Store in Nepal, this time in Kalanki. The 200 sq. feet Mi Store will propel the brand’s incredible rise in developing innovative retail measures in the country. Xiaomi is also seeking to double down its Mi Stores in Nepal by the end of this quarter.

Speaking about the launch, Sourabh Kothari, Country GM, Xiaomi Nepal said, “This is a special milestone for Xiaomi Nepal. With our 5th Mi Store in the country, we will continue to strive to fulfill our goal of building a seamless offline network in the country and bring the best shopping experience for our Mi Fans. We hope that our Mi fans in Nepal take the opportunity to visit this Mi Store and make the most of our newly launched product line-up.”

The expansion of the posh Store reflects Xiaomi’s higher ambitions to add more value to innovative consumerism in Nepal. Newly crowned as the world’s largest smartphone brand, Xiaomi’s Kalanki based Store will integrate retail efforts ranging from supply-chain management to product availability and delivery measures. For this, Xiaomi will bring the Store entirely under the brand’s governance.

Xiaomi Mi Store: For A Direct Relationship With Consumers

Xiaomi Nepal says it will oversee every retail process of this latest Mi store which will bring the brand transparency. With this, the consumers will gain a direct interaction with the brand for every retail process that will erode any additional corporate layer. This also means the Mi fans will get to forge a better and closer relationship with the brand.

Xiaomi has recently surpassed Samsung as the world’s largest smartphone brand in terms of shipment. While a crown in the midrange and upper mid-range tiers, the Chinese tech is now focusing on propelling its high-end segment to compete with Apple and Samsung toe to toe. It ships smartphones under three titles; Xiaomi, Redmi, and POCO.

Being a technophile, I am particularly fascinated by the evolution of mobile networks in Nepal from legacy networks (2G, 3G) to 4G (with VoLTE, VoWiFi, eSIM) and the prospects of the upcoming 5G, and equally enthralled by the development of internet from the dial-up connection to the 2 Gbps XGS-PON fiber broadband technology and their transformative impact in the country.
