4G is available here in Nepal in some cities with Ntc and Ncell. People say, 4G is the fastest internet available here in Nepal, with maximum download data rates of around 30 Mbps. It will take some more time for 4G to reach to all of Nepal. With 4G, it will even take tens of minutes to download a movie. What if, we say that the downloading movies is being done takes very less time than 4G. It is true, people are now downloading movies at a very fast speed (within a minute or two) and at a very reasonable price.
Well, we are talking of this current trend of downloading movies in mobile. It does not need any internet to download the movies, instead you need to visit some local DVD or mobile / repair or photo studio shops. Where you can download movies from their computer to your mobile using a cable.
Even though the pirate movie DVD does not cost much, this sort of download is preferred by people who do not own DVD player nor TV. It is a double piracy where people are doing piracy of the already pirate movies in DVD.
Cost of such movie download
The price of such movie download differs from place to place. But we have found most of the shopkeepers to charge Rs 10 per movie. It includes latest Bollywood and Hollywood movies. We didn’t find Nepali movie in the places we know. But it could be there in other places.
The old saying “When there is a will, there is a way” comes true here. As it is even found here in the cities, this kind of movie download is known to be much popular in remote areas where broadband data connection is out of reach.
Disclaimer: We are not in any way promoting this sort of activity. After the music streaming, telcos are considering Video streaming apps to be released very soon. But we want the operators to make the video streaming service affordable so that people won’t prefer this sort of illegal but fastest movie download.
